TRU Fabrics Ltd. is a Bangladesh based company, manufacturing woven fabrics for fashion industry that need reliable quality and delivery. TRU is a state of art establishment which constantly improves its processes to be a leading product innovator. Thus, our motto is “Passion for Innovation”.
OUR HISTORY
Our history and experience in the fashion business goes back to 1980s when our Managing Director M. A. Bashar with one of his friends started importing suiting fabric from Japan and wholesale the fabric to localretailers. With the growing demand of his imported fabric selection, he begun manufacturing suiting fabric in partnership with local textile mills and launched a brand Pragati Suiting.
Soon after in 1987, Mr. Bashar decided to buy a weaving plant “Unifill Textile Mills Ltd.” at the birthplace of number of world-famous fabrics like Muslin & Jamdani located at Narayanganj. After the takeover, he refurbished the mill with European warping and sizing machine and 104 Saurer shuttle looms from Japan. The company quickly became Bangladesh’s leading suiting and bottom wear fabric manufacturer.
In 1994, the quality reputation of the company leads to win first ever nomination to manufacture and supply military wear for Bangladesh Army which was previously imported from Pakistan and China.
Following the successful supply of military wear, the confidence in own quality and commitment was a great guidance for the company to supply export quality fabrics for global fashion retailers. Since 1997 the company has exported more than 120 million meters of fabric for high street
fashion brands.
In 2018, the company built the most modern dyeing and printing fabric manufacturing facility equipped with latest Swiss, German, Italian and Chinese machinery with a capacity of 3 million yards per month. The project has designed to offer the best brands everything they can dream of in woven fashion fabric with the value for money. We are consistently investing in the best tools and operation procedures by bringing in industry experts to furnish us with best practices and latest technology.
Recently in January 2020, the company has made a strategic decision to rename the company as TRU Fabrics Ltd. instead of Unifill Dyeing Printing & Finishing Mills Ltd.

On behalf of my entire company, I take the privilege of thanking our valued customer and business partners for the invaluable support you have extended in our textile business Unifill Textile Mills Ltd. and TRU Fabrics Ltd.
In 1987, we have started as a basic fabric weaving company. Since then we have devoted ourselves to the development of new fabrics which Bangladesh couldn’t produce and saved billion dollars of import cost of the country. I feel blessed when I look back at the journey of these significant and remarkable years of hard work and dedication. Your cooperation has helped us to keep our operation run smoothly and has led to a profitable relationship between us.
We understand that you have many options in the marketplace, and are pleased that you have made us your premier choice. You have experienced difficult times, yet you have been loyal and dependable. The persistent feedback and encouragement which has been provided by you has greatly helped us in gaining in a lot of courage to grow our business.
Recently we have expanded our business in fabric dyeing and printing named as TRU Fabrics Ltd. with all brand new machinery from renowned European brands. The production capacity of this facility will be 36 million yards annually where it will produce sustainable fabrics with recycled and organic materials beside basic fabrics for fashion retailers.
Companies today are expected to ensure the sustainability of human life and as a responsible company we have to find a solution for an urgently needed challenges like water shortages and climate change. While establishing TRU Fabrics Ltd., we kept sustainability in mind and installed machinery with less water and energy consumption compared to traditional machinery, established an industrial waste water treatment plant with the capacity of 3600 m3 per day, renewable energy solutions like solar power, transparent roof sheet to use day light and natural ventilation for cooling the production floor.
